Ushers
Parish Organizations   >   Ushers

The principal objective of the usher staff is to optimize attendance at Mass by encouraging quiet, promoting reverence and making every effort to minimize interruptions. They facilitate the congregation's attendance at Mass.

Consistent with the constant pursuit of reverence at Mass, the usher staff encourages early arrivals to allow time to visit the restroom, get a drink of water, be seated before Mass begins, and to have time to prepare for the Mass.

Consistent with the Safe Environment Program mandated by the Diocese of Dallas, the usher staff encourages parents that should a child leave Mass temporarily an adult should accompany him or her. The usher staff consistently monitors those in attendance at Mass in order to assist anyone experiencing any type of difficulty.

Families wishing to serve as Offertory Family should arrive early for Mass and visit with an usher.
