In May of 1917, Our Blessed Mother began a series of visits with 3 Portuguese shepherd children: Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta in which she delivered messages and pleas for the conversion of sinners and peace in the world. These visits took place on the 13th of each month, at noon, in the Cova de Iria, near Fatima, Portugal, as requested by Our Lady. On the last visit, October 13th, 1917, approximately 70,000 onlookers witnessed what is referred to as the Canticle of the Sun, or the Day the Sun Danced. It is this occasion that we will proudly be celebrating, here at St Anthony’s, and we are inviting all to join us! So, bring your hearts, your love for the Blessed Mother and your prayer petitions to the chapel on the 13th for this special anniversary gathering.
