You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments. Matthew, 22:37-40
Members of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul or "Vincentians” are men and women who strive to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to individuals in need. We are young and old. Our members come in every shade of skin color. Some of us are wealthy, some are financially poor, but all of us are blessed with an awareness that our blessings (time, talent or treasure) are to be shared with our brothers and sisters in need.
Through your generous contributions and support, we are able to provide assistance to families within our community who are experiencing difficulties within our social structures. The funds are used for families and individuals, who are in an unexpected crisis situation. We provide temporary financial assistance for rent, utilities, or other necessities, additional resources, prayer, and counsel. We work with other churches and agencies in our community, in the hope of helping them to become self- sufficient once again.
